How much can good spiritual health impact your physical well being?

Spiritual consciousness emanates from the mind. The brain, as guardian of the mind envelopes the thinking processes in both the conscious and sub-conscious state, which, within its power, pushes the consequences of developed thought, through the nervous system and around the body. ........Read More

Why We Should Drink More Water

Now, we all know we should drink 8 glasses of water a day. The fact that we need 8 glasses a day has been passed down from generation to generation, not that everyone does it that is. I’m here to tell you exactly just why we should be slaved into drinking water.

First off, the average human body is about 60 to 70% in water, and can even get as high as 75% in infants. That’s also another very common fact. So add ‘we need 8 glasses of water a day’ and ‘the average human body is about 60 to 70% in water’ and you get the very simple solution of; drink more water to maintain your body’s water level, right? Right. But, there’s more to it than just that.

The effects of not drinking enough water:

• Toxic waste builds up in the body. It’s almost like an un-flushed toilet inside of us, (sounds gruesome, but it’s true.)

Doesn't sound very good so far, does it?

• If you lose as little as 5% of your body’s water weight, you become disoriented, you can start to hallucinate & may also experience twitching muscles. Lose up to 15% and your life’s in danger.

• The body has no water storage system to depend on, without drinking sufficient water, the faster we’ll get dehydrated.

• Dehydration can cause disease.

• Not enough water can cause irregular bowel movement.

What you gain from drinking a lot of water:

• Keeps you hydrated.

• Your skin will look healthier and more glowing.

• It flushes out all those nasty toxins.

• Good for your bowels.

• The risk of getting sick will drop.

• Your cardiovascular health will be improved.

• Your body will get rid of the water it holds on to that appears as excess weight. (A plus if you’re looking to lose weight!)

• The risk of getting stretch marks will be reduced.

• Your metabolism will go a lot faster than it usually does. (Another plus for you weight watchers!)

• Drinking a cold glass when you’re feeling sluggish or looking droopy and it’ll wake you up in a snap!

• Generally improves your health all round.

Just 8 glasses of water a day and you've got absolutely nothing to lose. Well, apart from all those toxins, but that’s a good thing. All you have to do is commit to one glass of water every 1-2 hours and all that good stuff is yours!

What can I do to stop drinking too much alcohol?

“Heavy  drinking”, “social drinking”, “regular drinking”, “intermittent drinking”, “stress drinking”, “a little tipple” and many other phrases can be used as reasons or excuses for alcohol consumption in an alcohol permissive world. Indeed, alcohol is now such an acceptable social “norm” that society, particularly in developed countries has lent itself to providing alternative “family venues” and “social clubs” in order to satisfy the “entertainment feel” that alcohol distributors would like to give consumers......Read More

How can you lose weight quickly and keep fit without spending a lot of money?

When you are 18 stone and on the wrong side of alcohol and food, it’s very easy to make friends with an armchair and a television, occasionally leaving them to venture out of your living room into the kitchen or toilet. Sometimes, but only sometimes, perhaps when our usual mode of transport fails us, we manage to walk a little way to a bus stop or train station, albeit exerting great effort. “What’s the matter!” we exclaim to ourselves. I’ve done all the right things in my life so why am I feeling the way I do? Why am I stressed and frequently ill? Why do I often get short tempered? Why am I always out of breath? Why can’t I keep up with my family and friends and others? Am I slowly eroding into an oblivious state of no return? Is there something I can do about my physical and emotional state?......Read More

Domestic Violence Against Men

There are often points *time frames” in good relationships that bring us to a thoughtful analysis of whether everything really is right and in order and we question ourselves about whether the foundation of the relationship is established, even after many years of fruitful partnership, As the relationship moves through tests and trials, surely one or even both partners must come to question the impact that one partner has on the other. What keeps the relationship solid and together; is it religion or love; perhaps both; is it domination or effectual submission? Well! Whatever keeps couples together, sometimes people submit to the wrong ideals and principles of the other; the practices and thoughts of partners impose upon the progress in the relationship and begin to slowly eat away at its fabric. Everything is moving forward gently and in good order until, suddenly, the dominant partner exerts selfish authority. What now?
What happens next?

Do we submit? Do we allow the extremities of abusive oral behavior, for example and physical violence to prevail in an ever permissive society?

Who is the man?

Who is the woman?

Who wears the trousers?

Surely man is man and surely the man rules in his own house, taking authority over the woman in a relationship that is otherwise equal?

Surely a female dominant partner knows the extent of her dominance and cultivated that dominance knowingly to overpower her partner?

I believe that every dominant female partner knows exactly what they do when they forcibly impose their ideals and threats upon a submissive male. I believe that they instinctively take the submissive male partner and view him as a threat to their hierarchy and control and in doing so will go to great lengths to keep that control, even to the point of murder and certainly violence.

It’s so pitiful really, as these weak women cower in an oblivious state of madness as they foster their self destruction.

For men interested in knowing more about violence against men by women, here is a really useful article by the Mayo Clinic.com; well worth a read.
